Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients:
3/4 cup of granulated sugar
3/4 cup of brown sugar, compressed
1 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 teaspoon of vanilla
1 big egg
2 1/4 cups of regular or multipurpose flour
1 teaspoon of baking soda (baking soda)
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1 cup of chopped walnuts in large pieces
1 bag (12 oz) of semi-sweet chocolate chips (2 cups)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Beat the sugars, butter, vanilla and egg in a large bowl with an electric mixer at medium speed, or mix with a spoon.
- Add the flour, baking soda and salt, and stir (the dough will be hard).
- Add the nuts and chocolate chips and mix.
- Place full tablespoons of dough on a ungreased cookie sheet, separated 2 inches.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned (the center of the cookies will be soft).
- Let cool for 1 to 2 minutes; remove from the tray and place on a metal grill.
